I was commissioned by acclaimed director Te Arepa Kahi to produce 3 different works all of which were solo electric guitar, to feature in the documentary ‘Into the Valley’ as seen on TV3 New Zealand.
Sam produced this song for northland band Papa’s Pack. It was released alongside a number of amazing artists as part of the Waiata Anthems kaupapa. Listen here
I contributed guitars and also played a role arranging and reharmonisation ‘Wicked Game’ for Anthonie Tonnon. The song was mixed by Bob Frisbee from recordings by Malcolm Ibell.
Recorded in Richmond Virginia (U.S.) with Space bomb records, the album has received rave reviews from Mojo Magazine (UK) and Uncut Magazine. The singles ‘Best Thing’ and ‘Get the devil out’ have been on high rotation on various broadcast platforms including BBC6 and Radio NZ.

Sam contributed backing vocals and coached Sir Dave Dobbyn with his te reo throughout the vocal recording session.
Te Kore was written by Diaz Grimm, Te Kuru Dewes and Sam Taylor and features Dame Hinewehi Mohi. Sam produced the song which was recorded in Taupunga wharenui at Waimārama marae.
This single released by prolific session musician Tom Broome, has been well received. The song has been play listed on different platforms with listeners anxiously awaiting the next release.
